Repeatedly tried to liquidate an old UGMA account over the past few years. I hear a different thing each time I call in. I cannot get a medallion signature to fill out their forms because they require a medallion for me but my local bank will only give it for the custodian on the account. At this point it feels like they are holding the funds in a 36 year old account hostage

Debacle of a mutual fund division. Can't get your money out without an original medallion. Can't even set up auto-deposit without it. Calling is useless as they can barely communicate. I would stay far away from this company if possible.

I have tried multiple times to inform Nomura of a family member, who has investments with them, that this individual is deceased. The last attempt was 7/13/2026 when they have locked my access to the account and will not send me any forms/information so that I am able to send in the necessary documents to them. They never return your calls. They never send the paperwork that is necessary to be filled out. They are rude, extremely difficult at a time that I should not be treated so mean with the death of my family member. I w... read more
