If your loved one is there long-term, it’s a great facility. However, when I, as Power of Attorney, requested my father be moved to the more affordable Warrenton location, I was told by the Executive Director, Karen Moreno, “No, it would be too much of a trauma response” although my father was in a deficit of over $2000 per month. My Mother-in-law is 96, and she stopped eating and wouldn’t get out of bed. She has been at Spring Oak at Culpeper for a few months now, and not only is her appetite back, but she doesn’t want to stay in bed. She can be very impatient when she needs help with anything, but the staff is so patient and attentive to her. We feel like bringing her to Spring Oak has saved her life. We are so grateful to all the staff, and we truly appreciate the care they ALL give.

Respite care for my 91 year old father-in-law was such a positive experience for him as well as for my husband and I!! We were all invited to tour, have lunch with the residents and ask whatever questions came up. We were allowed to bring some of his personal things that made his visit more pleasant. I cannot say enough good things about Spring Oak assisted living facility and their staff, especially Gail who has been an absolute joy. She has taken such great care of my mom and they are so lucky to have such an amazing person who truly cares about the residents!!
