Booked a car for 3 weeks with pickup 11am. Arrived, they took all my details THEN proceeded to tell me no car available! There MIGHT be one returning at 12, but it wouldn’t be cleaned before they closed at 12:30. Yes, bad service but why couldn’t they inform me by phone or email before I travelled 1/2 way across Perth for the pickup??? Add to that, not the most pleasant customer service at the desk. Been renting from this company for a long time (25years plus) and hands down they are the best value rentals around. I just factor in the cost of getting to/from the airport since you can’t pick up or leave the car there (still way cheaper than other companies). The sad thing is that the great service is totally not there at the Fremantle office. Recently I encountered the rudest, worst person I’ve met in any form of tourism there. Have had an absolute terrible experience with No Birds Fremantle, went to pick up a car for a week long road trip down the coast and after an hour of driving saw something was wrong with the PSI on my wheels, fearing it was a puncture I took it to a mechanic and the mechanic said the car was completely unroadworthy and couldn’t let me leave with it due to faulty tires. Pick up and drop off was seamless and fast. Car was clean and very new. Child car seats were comfortable and clean too. Will recommend for a reliable car rental that does not over charge.
