Basics Nijiya's Mountain View store is small, but has a fairly large obento and prepared foods department. You can find all your basic Japanese food items, but selection is limited. To meet all your shopping needs, you need to visit the San Francisco store.

Very nice grocery store This is a nice market. It is clean, organized, produce is fresh, and it carries organic vegetables. I also like the prepared sushi, which is reasonably priced.

I love this place It's like they shipped in a real Japanese market and plunked it down in the middle of California. Their pre-made lunches range from bento boxes to sashimi and are inevitably good and a good deal. They have all the awesome Japanese snacks like gummis and Kasugai Green Peas, for cheap. And their meats and vegetables are a great deal. I only wish there was one closer to where I live. If you're anywhere near by, and not afraid of a little raw fish and Japanese-style designs, I highly recommend checking it out. ... read more

nice japanese grocery store Nijiya Market at 143 E El Camino Real in Mountain View is our favorite japanese market. They have all the best Japanese items imported from Japan. They have many prepared foods that you can not find at any other non japanese market. They have ample parking. They have the freshest produce and best cuts of meat.

For those Japanese cravings I'm from hawaii and I always crave a taste of home. Usually Japanese fills the bill nicely! This store has a great selection of japanese food and ingredients. I often frequent their prepared food section at the front of the store for a quick lunch. Oddly enough I also go to the store for the...TOYS! There's something about Japanese and cool little toys. My boys favorite part is looking through the candy aisle to find the latest toy/candy offering. There's usually something relating to thomas the t... read more

Groceries This is a little store on El camino that sells Japanese foods. They have canned and packaged things. Also some fruits. But what people really come here for is the meats. The meats are always fresh and always at a very good price (who doesnt love a bargain right!?) They have special Japanese cakes, cookies and candies. Parking always no troubles. Come check it out, one of its great aspects is that you probably pass by it everday anyways, it has a great location.
