I haven't seen his work in real life. I went to Stamford to see a friend's exhibition and haven't been able to stop his notification on my tablet, not my phone, every time I turn it on.
I commissioned a portrait of my husband as a Christmas present from Nick Grove and we are extremely pleased with the results. Communication was great and Nick was very patient and understood the brief perfectly. My husband had a number of sittings and felt immediately at ease with Nick. They discussed outfits, positions, backgrounds, framing and despite the facial hair not being a permanent feature, (which must have been frustrating for the artist!) the finished result is an incredible likeness.
