If you’re ever in Alaska you need to stop by Creek Street in Ketchikan. It truly displays the incredible hospitality of the local people and offers a blend of tourism and local excellence. This store specifically is a great example of local hospitality. My husband and I had the pleasure of being in Ketchikan on Friday and took the time to chat with the store owner. On a cruise and walked around the Creek Street area to take in the salmon watching. Decided to see the cozy and local shops along the way. Popped into this shop and so glad we did! Bought unique and fun “Alaskan” bags to use for Christmas gifts. Walked back to the shop and decided to run back and grab a few more items. Wish I had more space in my suitcase as I would have spent my paycheck here! We had great friendly service from the staff.
What a great shop! My husband and I were fortunate enough to venture into the store and found a beautiful hand painted piece of art, that was painted, matted, and made by the local artist themself who is also the general purveyor of the store. The shop owner was friendly, kind, attentive, and thoughtfully informed us that the art is sized ready fit to frame! Thank you for the incredible find! Your shop is top notch, and we are proud to hang your work at our home in Seattle. Thank you Niblick's!
I agree with the other 1 star post for customer service, we too were there on a cruise and the person working there stayed behind the counter the entire time, did not acknowledge us, was FaceTiming with someone the entire time we were there including during me purchasing a sweatshirt. They get 0 stars for customer service. The only reason they get 2 stars is because I bought a sweatshirt there and it’s become my favourite sweatshirt.
