I had a terrible experience with NextCar Toronto and would not recommend them. I rented a car for only two days and they placed a $1,000 deposit/hold on my credit card, on top of the insurance. I returned the car on July 25, and weeks later the deposit still has not been released. What made the situation much worse was the customer service. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION IF YOUR HOLIDAY/WEEKEND PLAN DEPENDS ON THIS RENTAL CAR.Pathetic customer service. I Called to follow up on my cancelled booking which I did book through economy booking website. These people are scammers. They lied to us about the car and the price. The guy on the counter is not honest at all. We were told that we’ll be getting the refund as they were the one who refused to provide the car after the reservation was paid thru Expedia.But they keep denying the refund while we didn’t even see the car we booked. I don’t recommend at all. For your peace of mind stay away from NextCar. They’re liars
