Less than a star. All customer service reps speak zero English. This company slides in secret fees for paying more principal on your loan each month even though no pre payment penalty. You get penalized for paying back your loan on time and with additional funds. Worthless scam of a mortgage company. Find a legit mortgage company to do business with. SAY NO to NEWREZ they are garbage.
If I could give them zero stars I would. I called multiple times to get my escrow account reevaluated and they have been dragging their feet. So I had to pay 3k mortgage payment because even though it’s their fault it’s taking this long, my credit will take a hit. Once it’s fixed and I get my money back I’m immediately refinancing elsewhere
I give them zero stars. And these people are crooks and do nothing at all to help you. We have chased these people trying to get through to them and they keep making appointments that they never keep. We get transferred to a new assigned person every time we call. These people put us on a different rate without any authorization. I am going to be looking into active lawsuit against these people. They’re breaking so many laws it’s very disturbing.
They did not use my escrow account to pay the insurance. This caused my insurance company to cancel my insurance. They then charged me extra fees for not having insurance. They will not let me speak to somebody has the authority to fix the issue.
One star isn't low enough. Consumer, you decide......Monday May 4th 2026, 2 hours before closing, I'm contacted via text with financial details that are changing, higher dollar amounts for overall loan and monthly payment will be increasing. I call and assure closing lady Karissa that we ARE signing to the agreed terms from the Friday before and we are not signing to new their new estimated terms because they THINK property taxes will go up in November 6 months away!
