I tried to take a cab from the Newark train station to the Envy apartments on June 19. The driver of Cab #468 told me that the address of this apartment building did not exist. When I asked the driver of Cab #413 to take me, he was going to charge me $25.00 for a 1-1/2 mile drive. After I questioned the fare, he told me to take an Uber.

Ride in CAB 244 from Newark airport to Union County NJ and, while the driver operated the vehicle well and was polite, the CAB was in unsafe condition. Specifically, the headlines were dim, even on high beam, the left turn signal indicated it was not working properly and there was an orange warning light on the dashboard.

I lost my iPhone in a cabride from Newark Airport to Manhattan mid-February 2025. Fearing it forever lost, I never the less contacted the Newark Taxi Commission and spoke with Inspector Harvey. Mr. Harvey patiently took my Fare Sheet and contact information and said that he'd attempt to track down the cab driver. Three days later, upon arrival back at the Airport, I was told by Taxi Dispatcher Emmanuel Clerveus that my phone had been found and would be returned to me within a few minutes. I want to thank the driver of taxi 140 who went above and beyond the maximum in an attempt to retrieve the iPhone I had left in an Uber on my way to EWR to fly to Germany. If you have a taxi driver of the year, here is a top contender.
