The place is immaculately kept but they really should have a different pricing system because when you come the end of August let's face it there's absolutely nothing in bloom it's just a nice walk and it's quite pricey between parking and two tickets we're talking $100
I'm blessed to live in Philadelphia where the city and surrounding suburbs (including NJ and DE) have a lot of gardens and arboretums. Having been here several times, including twice for the Orchid Festival, I must confess my love for the NYBG. It's quite the oasis in the middle of the Bronx and if you love flowers and the outdoors, definitely a must visit on your NYC itinerary. Easy access to off of the subway system - so long as you can walk a few easy blocks (uphill one way though)
