The state says that there is a "free civil legal service" in this building. But the lady who is in charge is never working or returned any of my calls/messages. I don't think it exists at all just the state string me along. It also says it the Department of Education I am going to look into it.

Just found out my SSN was leaked from the PowerSchool breach and the NMPED STILL REQUIRED SCHOOLS TO PUT IN FULL SSNs INTO POWERSCHOOL IN 2025!!!! I HAVE A CALL REQUEST FROM THE SECETRARY OF EDUCATION, WILL BE CONTACTING STATE AG AND THE GOVERNORS OFFICE, IN ADDITION TO SEEKING MY OWN LEGAL ADVICE!!!! AGAIN NM FALLING FLAT CAUSE OF GROSS INCOMPETENCE!!!!

They never answer an email, or a phone call. If they do, they only answer they give you is "no." Between them and every administrator I 've ever delt with feeling the need to talk to me like a child and scold me, I can see why NM has a teacher shortage. It's just going to get worse. The punitive language in licensure should be eliminated, if someone misses a deadline, they should be able to start over the next year, period.
