Brilliant There are plenty of record stores in the city, but if you're looking for something obscure, this is the place to go. Their selection is always changing, offering up new finds. You can spend hours perusing through the stacks, so be warned! The prices are definitely fair and you can't beat the location. The staff are usually helpful, but the store can get really busy, so you're sometimes left on your own to answer any questions you might have.

I need music Music makes the world go 'round. Other Music is where the music collectors go to find all the music they could ever want or need. Looking for that one of kind hard to find rock band or want something in the classical vein. How about rock bands from all over the world? Whatever you are looking for or if you want to start your very own unique music collection Other Music is where you have to go.

Other Music Inc An atypical East Village music shop. Everyone's an expert, they can help you track down obscure tracks and the selection is varied and at times fascinating. Of course there is some staff snootiness which is always amusing in shops of this type but you're not here for getting some love you're here to track down some music you really want and that they can help you with. PROS: Excellent Selection CONS: Snooty staff

Other Music Other Music has a wonderful, friendly staff that is extremely knowledge filled without being snobbish about it, and extremely helpful. The store is a bit small and cramped, but it has a wonderful feel to it, filled with "true" music lovers. I'd much rather spend time & shop here than at Tower across the street. It's also been a great location to get tickets to concerts as well.

Other Music I saw another review of this floating around, but I can't seem to find it, so here's another. As the name of the store implies, this is where you'll find everything you want off the top forty charts. The place is small, but supremely dedicated and friendly, offering a huge selection of independent and rare music, as well as used classic independen music and vinyl.
