I was pulled over while on the last leg of a long drive from Ohio. It was about 1:00 am, 43 degrees and raining steadily. Instead of a surly officer thinking "this knucklehead is driving in the rain, in the middle of the night with only one operating headlight and doesn't realize it", l was greeted by an officer that displayed the type of character rarely seen anywhere these days.
