I used to be with Domain.com, which was then taken over by Networksolutions. Since then, I've had nothing but problems. For some reason, all my emails suddenly stopped working. I contacted support four times, but no one could help me. On the fourth attempt, my case was escalated to a higher level of support. But even they couldn't solve the problem. They purchased the business that maintained my domain names. I was not happy with their lack of communication. So when I tried to transfer my domain names, they locked me out of my account. Told me they would require a court order to get my domain names back. They said this after I gave them all the required information they needed to give me access to do the transfer. Business license, valid, US government ID and current utility bills. Shady disgusting, and appalling.
Use literally anyone else. They refuse to support the right level of PHP for wordpress sites to be secure and make it impossibly hard to request a refund when transferring to another service. Sneaky policies, subpar service and customer service that is never knowledgeable.
Network Solutions policy is this... If you want to transfer your domain AWAY from them to another provider, they will send you the authorization code in 3 days! What?! So many other domain registrars do this instantly. You are frustrating those who choose to leave. The chances of them returning, will be reduced even more.
