Quite a belated review here, as my Nan was at Nelson House 2014/2015. But when I think back, I remember the care was very good. From the outside its nothing special compared to some "premium" carehomes that have been built in the area recently, but inside it has a very cosy feel, the staff are caring and always up for a chat despite being very busy. Basic kind of place but helped my Brother and my family through a difficult period. Staff seem efficient and kind.

What a shambles of a company. The office staff are disgusting, they have no manners and speak to you very abruptly! Complaints are not listened to. Half of the staff are not trained properly,,, Workers are just dragging clients up the bed, no use of slide sheets. Too many clients given to one person at a time. How this company is still looking after vulnerable adults I have no idea!! I would not l...

My brother and I did an internet search for care homes when my father became too ill for us to manage. We visited most of those appearing in the top 10 in our area with no prior warning of our visit. Nelson House was head and shoulders ahead of the next best and was chosen by us to look after our father Charles Grigg.
