The absolute worst bank of all time. My family and I had been banking here since the 90’s. NBT decided to allow my dead mother’s bank account to get over drafted by $700. The account was closed two weeks after mom died…nearly a year ago. My wife and I made the decision to close out our accounts and move the money elsewhere. This location has an excellent manager named Gannon and a lovely teller named Ashley who are great and provide an outstanding customer service. Everyone else here gave me a hard time every time I came in.
Are these people crazy??? They spent 20 minutes grilling me for information, staring at my ID, and asking for my information numerous times just to take money out of an account that has been established at this bank for decades. How could you not know a customer who grew up in town, and whose own mother was the mayor? The next time I return, I intend to take my money elsewhere, as this is the very first time in my entire life that I've had a bank give me a hard time. Seriously, get a grip.
