Navy Federal apparently makes a practice of honoring stopped checks if one of their own members deposits it. If you follow their procedures and call first thing in the morning, they will tell you that it's your job to negotiate with the other member to get it back because it isn't their fault that they honored it. This is the bank that honored the bad check.
