Professional but very discombobulated We were trying to apply for a home loan through Navy Fed and came in to schedule an appointment to meet with their appointed loan officer. The woman up front tells us we need to schedule an appointment to meet with them specifically, which we assumed was the loan officer, so we didn’t ask more questions. After years of having a high balance on a credit card. I called their settlement department to see if i could have remaining balance forgiven. The card had been closed for over 8 years. I paid minimum payments cause 8 couldn't afford otherwise. In that time i paid over 8k in interest on the account and they cannot for give the remainder which is only 392.00. A billion dollar credit union cant forgive a small amount after i just given them a large sum to pay down the debt
