Went in today to get an affidavit notarized and was told they couldn’t notarize it. Clearly, the notary doesn’t understand her job. Being a former notary myself, the notary is notarizing your signature ONLY, not the affidavit itself. In fact, the notary is just stating that you in fact are the person signing whatever document that is presented by verifying with your ID.
