I had good experience ordering plants from Naturescapes; very helpful with my order.
Living in Bluffton near water or areas where water levels change or where a Rain Garden is ideal, many extension services recommend specific plants that none of the major Nurseries carry. Naturescapes has 100-200 Native South Carolina plants some of which are rare. It is a long drive from Bluffton but is well worth the drive. Thrilled with the plant selection! I am in Alabama and ordered them to be shipped. Daniel packaged them with care and even included one extra! I really appreciated the note letting me know one plant I ordered was dormant but giving instructions to plant and wait for it to come up in the fall. I will definitely order again when I am ready to plant more natives!
I've been to many native nurseries in VA, NC, SC. Daniel some very unique species that are not offered in other native plant nurseries and is very knowledgeable about native/local plants. He was the first nursery that stocked Penstemon laevigatus. Most nurseries will only sell digitalis. I purchased Leavenworth Goldenrod, Florida Sedge, Beard tongue, and others. I planted the beardtongue and goldenrods late September and so far doing well. I will try shipping option next time.
Daniel was super nice, friendly, and so knowledgeable about the native plants I was looking for. He helped me pick exactly what I needed, and they're all doing great! I haven't had a chance to visit his nursery again, but I most definitely will soon. I highly recommend.
