Thirty years ago, a group of dedicated Darien citizens founded the Darien Nature Center, under the aegis of Darien Community Association. Nice facility.. animals are in small cages and seem sick or sad though…Some staff were nice, others a bit rude and ignorant.. probably won’t be returning
My grandson JJ loves the Darien nature enter and know all the names of the animals there. Actually he knows the names of almost every animal everywhere. He even knows anteaterand a gazillion others.
We love the nature center! It's always clean and the staff is just wonderful. Kids love it.
