Takes your drivers license and physically holds your legal ID til you get to the counter. I didn't encounter this once in Seattle. I don't like my ID with all my personal information on it held onto by a random dispensary worker. You wouldn't post your ID to the internet why would you surrender it to a kid at a dispensary? I mentioned this to Nature Med and they said it's an old practice from when they were previously medical only and said a couple others do it. Bad excuse.
