I usually mail order from here as I live hours away. Today I was in Melbourne and decided to drive the extra 1/2hr and purchase have a heap of fish. I requested that they are packed as if they were going in the mail to keep them warm on the journey home. I was happy to pay the extra for the service. I have had a horrible experience, been sold a red thicklip gourami that was advertised as a Honey gourami, the place is hours away from me and they said they could give me a measly $18 refund. And I just recently bought some more fish from them, died within 2 days and they were not cheap. Water parameters are perfect and no other fish in that tank has died. Beautifully maintained aquariums with healthy, vibrant fish and thriving plants. It’s clear the animals here are genuinely well cared for — a refreshing contrast to some other local shops. Prices are very reasonable, without being over the top. Izzy was lovely and incredibly helpful in guiding us to choose our new betta fish. This will definitely be our go-to fish shop from now on.
