I wanted to appreciate National Rental and the lady agent at Fort McMurray AirPort for their help and friendly behaviour to me. Their service provided to me was excellent and it was in no time. Thank you and please keep up your fantastic service.
Reserved a car online through the website; got a call on the plane as I was about to take off that they're sold out and don't have a car. Stated that the website does not have "real time availability". This used to be a good car rental place, but it seems to have really fallen off in terms of quality and customer service.
Flight landed 30 min after National rental in Fort McMurray closed. I called at 6pm to ask the National office if they would stay open as Westjet had advised of a delay of 4+hours. I was told “No, we close at 10pm”. That’s it. I have experienced other offices staying open one an hour after closing if you call in advance. Many of us were stranded looking for cabs. Now I have to pay 80.00 in round trip cab fare to return at 8am tomorrow morning to get the car. Very disappointing.
