Redeemed my free national day there as a Executive Elite member. Rental was okay besides we have to wait a little bit for someone to come from the office, and returning situation was horrible. Parking spaces are limited at YZF and I just want to have my invoice before I left, but it took about an hour for someone to come. Not a lot of variety in car choice but it was alright but could do better.
A mostly good experience. Pickup was quick and easy, the car was brand new. I didn’t notice the 50 km per day limit until pickup time, and if you’re going down Ingraham Trail to see the auroras, you’ll easily go over that (as I did). It’s 0.40 CAD per km after the daily 50 km. Make sure you document or report the state of the car when you get it. They were honest to me, didn't take more money than expected (we used an extra 40km) Things to remember: 50km/day, your credit card probably has insurance coverage so deny theirs. Return gas full. Still a bit expensive, but seems like the market price there. Giving 5 stars to counteract all the negative reviews. The lady at the front was nice and helpful.
I was scheduled to pick up my car at 10:30 AM but due to flight delays I didn’t arrive until after 7 PM! I didn’t realize that the location was only open until 6:30 PM! Even though I failed to add my flight number to my reservation, The young gentleman at the counter was pretty confident and I was on the delayed flight and stayed open late to assure I was looked after. We rent a car some days ago. The staff was kind, competent and flexible. One hint: you can check whether it is cheaper directly to book on the company website and not via Expedia.
