We rent a car some days ago. The staff was kind, competent and flexible. One hint: you can check whether it is cheaper directly to book on the company website and not via Expedia.
We rented a car from National car rental for 3 days. Evan attended to us and he is courteous, knowledgeable and very helpful, including providing information on Yellowknife and where to see Aurora Borealis. Evan completed the paperwork smoothly and efficiently. As we were about to drive off the rented car, we realized that we needed additional information to ask him. Recently rented a SUV in December, 2023. The vehicle was struck in four inches of snow. Luckily, there were people around me and pushed the vehicle out. Later, I checked the tires ratings and I was shocked that the tires were all season tires. We’re in the middle of winter in Yellowknife and the SUV was equipped with all season tires. This place is completely a FRAUD and they will CHARGE YOU A LOT EXTRA! I was charged an extra of $150 without notice. After calling them back, I was told that this is for the fuel. However, the tank was only 3/4 full when I picked up the car, and I returned it with 3/4 full. The staff insisted that according to their policy, we should return the car with a full tank, no matter how much fuel was there when we picked it up.
