A completely rude and incompetent operation. No car available for my reservation that was made 9 months earlier. Had to wait 90 minutes for a car. Counter unmanned for the return at 11:00 am on a Friday. I will never rent from Nation again. When the counter worker finally arrived he tried to bribe me with a discounted rate if I would give a good review. You can’t make this stuff up. Unprofessional, unethical and incompetent operation. Could not give a zero star sadly.
I’ve been trying to get in touch with this location by phone since Monday without any luck. I’ve left multiple voicemails but haven’t received a response and I haven’t been able to reach anyone. My reservation is scheduled for Friday and I urgently need to speak with a representative. I’m posting this in hopes that someone from the team will see it and reach out to me as soon as possible. I haven’t been able to find any alternative contact information for this location. Please get in touch at your earliest convenience.
They cancelled my reservation with no explanation. Houghton National Car rental wouldnt pick up the phone! Completely screwed me. I would avoid this specific National even if you're a loyal customer. Be ready to have a back up plan. I landed at the airport, went to the front desk and they said the app shouldn't have let me book a reservation because they were backlogged.
