I have used national many times in different airports and never had a unsatisfactory experience, until Nashville. The car was filthy and had lots of flaws on the outside. I felt more like I was rent-a-wreck instead of National.

Best thing about a rental- quick and easy. Car was in great shape, pick up and drop off seamless.

I have been a member of the Emerald club for several years now and it is the only car rental company I have or will use. Although they did not have quite the selection at the Nashville Airport during our recent trip, I had to understand that it was over the Thanksgiving weekend. Their still the best.

Absolutely the BEST airport for car rental...and if you're a National Emerald Club member it's even better! No cruddy shuttle buses to get to the lot - easy walk. Ta-da! National is on the first floor of the rental garage and the Emerald Aisle is front and center. ALWAYS a good selection of vehicles to choose from - last month I could have picked a VW Bug or a Chevy Camaro or a Chevy Equinox or Jeep Patriot among many others... (I went with a Dodge Journey. The airport is too inadequate to handle large amount of returns. As a result, long wait times even before getting to the National return location.

This National has the best process for picking up your rental car: just walk to where the cars are parked, get in one, and drive to the check-out. The cars here are always clean. The only negative is that on the rare occasion you may need to wait five minutes or so for a car because Nashville can be such a busy place at certain times of the year.

When we got to the airport I had pd for a rental at hertz, but they wouldn't allow me to have the car without putting a minimum of $200 security deposit on a credit card. I didn't have a credit card, just a debit with a daily limit that wouldn't allow another $200 charge. I had cash, but they refused to work with me. I walked across to the Alamo counter where Charles & Jerry were happy to help me.
