My experience with National was excellent. First time renting from them and have no complaint
I returned a car yesterday. Erin assisted me. She gave me an incredible welcome and was quick and got me moving. She was also very responsive to my little bit of feedback about the vehicle. Great experience.
There is a trend by National Car Rental at Houston International Airport attempting to charge me for additional fuel, even after I have filled the rental with fuel before return. This is a petty attempt to bilk more money from customers. This has happened on my last four rentals with National, requiring me to show my gas receipt to the rep and having them remove the charge from my bill. Car ran great and drove straight down the road. Pickup was simple and drop off was even easier. With all the TSA issues in Houston, we had to arrive in the middle of the night. National had helpful employees working and checking in cars. The only reason for 4 stars is because the front seats had a lot of spots from spills. They just didn’t look clean.
