Update-after paying off this loan almost 3 years ago, now today Aug 4 2026 we get a letter saying the account is in arrears, an account that was supposed to be closed when the loan was paid, just one more reason to show how shady this bank is. They are trash
My mom passed away last December and she had left my siblings and I as beneficiaries of her TFSAs. It is June 20th and I am still waiting for National Bank to disperse these to us. Scotiabank was able to do this in less than a month. Why will they not release these funds? These TFSAs should not have needed probate as we were listed as beneficiaries.
