We had a wonderful experience working with Val Milburn, Communications Manager at Nanaimo Seniors Village. Her professionalism and kindness made a challenging process much easier. Transitioning my sister from living on her own to assisted living was made so much easier with the help of the staff at Nanaimo Seniors Village. I don’t worry about her being alone knowing there’s always a friendly face and help available to her when she needs it!
This is an exceptional place for our mom, the staff are excellent and go so beyond in all that they do. It feels like home in so many ways and is safe, social and a fabulous place to live. I think it can be a hard transition for older people but I think they end up surprised how wonderful it is to be in such a wonderful place. I think it’s a lot harder to be alone in a home with no supports or community. My father moved into NSV 2 years ago. He's now 95. The increased socializing only has been beneficial. He plays pool with a grouo of guys. Theres a great deck outside to sit in the sun. He has his 3 meals a day and light housekeeping weekly. It's a weight off my shoulders too. The staff is great and so helpful. I know eyes on on him 24/7. There are activities and outings if he choices to join in. Thank you all!!!
My mom moved into NSV assisted living and she’s so happy. Lots of activities, nice rooms and friendly staff. I’m sure my mom will live longer because she’s never lonely.
