Don't bother showing up for a meeting--no one will be there! After trying for two weeks via email and phone to get confirmation (from at least two staff members) of an in-person meeting and hearing nothing back, I drove for 30 minutes to a meeting that I confirmed on the calendar before I left. No one was there! This organization doesn't care about being responsive or updating their website. Too bad considering the population they're supposed to serve.

After feeling ostracized by people and stigmatized I finally found my tribe at NAMI VOS. I adore the programs and support groups. They have excellent resources, as well. Thank you NAMI VOS for ALL you do!
All I can say is anyone reaching out to MAMI knows it can be stressful time. They are the best resource and if you haven't contacted them for help; take a leap of faith!
