Why can’t this agency reach out to its members and offer advocacy services? When I was tormented and needed them I had no help. This is a real mystery to me. Consumers are members and there was never any outreach to me. It needs to be said for change.
Don't bother showing up for a meeting--no one will be there! After trying for two weeks via email and phone to get confirmation (from at least two staff members) of an in-person meeting and hearing nothing back, I drove for 30 minutes to a meeting that I confirmed on the calendar before I left. No one was there! This organization doesn't care about being responsive or updating their website. Too bad considering the population they're supposed to serve.

After feeling ostracized by people and stigmatized I finally found my tribe at NAMI VOS. I adore the programs and support groups. They have excellent resources, as well. Thank you NAMI VOS for ALL you do!
