Terrible Mani – I went to the 55th Street location for a manicure. Must admit the decor is very chic, but don't be fooled. It was my first and last time...the lady cut my cuticles unevenly that when she applied the polish, it became more obvious...she was very stingy on applying the polish to the point that you could see brush lines and to top it off, she didn't even clean under my nail, so I have a pink polish base with black as my un-asked for french manicure.

Don't be fooled – They are in a touristy area.. trying to snag one. I am a NY'r... walked in a few months ago for a nail fix. It was $12 no biggie, it was quick and I was happy. Walked in last week for a silk nail set and pedicure. They were RUDE. The total was $125 (very pricey esp for what they do) and she asked for it mid way through my nails were finished and before my pedicure. Great value for price – I have been to two locations on 55th and 56th street. Both are great, however the 55th street location is much more luxurious. What I like most about this company is that the prices are reasonable and at the 55th street location you feel as though you're at an upscale spa (without the upscale price). I used to go to bliss regualrly and even remember when their brazilian bikini wax WAS $40!! I get the same service here for half the price as Bliss. I definitely recommend this spa.

The Only Place I GO – A serene and clean environment, New York Nails & Spa has been my only choice for spa services for the past 4 years. They treat you with the utmost professionalism and warmth at this lovely haven. The staff is always accomodating, and I swear by the sea salt glow before going away on a warm weather destination. The mani/pedi's are fantastic and for their rates you get a luxurious experience without breaking the bank. Highly recommend this jewel in midtown :)
