I had a car subscription with this company for 10 months. The process of picking up and dropping off the vehicle was easy, as I went to pick up the car. However, my experience was let down by the excessive and unfair charges applied at the end of the subscription. Any minor damages - such as light scratches on the body or scuffed alloy wheels - results in disproportionately high repair costs with additional VAT. I have used mycar Direct on 2 occasions recently for short-term rentals and they were fantastic. The staff are helpful and friendly and the collection and drop off process seamless (unlike some big-name companies I've used recently). The cars were almost brand new and 1 of them had under 1k on the clock. Terrific value, at least 30% cheaper than quotes for similar cars with other companies in the area. Will use them again.
This was previously a 5 star review, having had great service and no issues having my vehicle thought My car Direct. Unfortunately, despite being a loyal customer of 3 years they deem it acceptable to charge me a £40 "admin fee" to scan a letter and send me an email. A completely money grab. Despite raising my concerns I was just fobbed off with a generic response, ignoring my request justify the need for the fee. Expected better than this.
Our subscription car - which we were very happy with - developed a small fault, detected only when it was MOT'd. Tony, Business Manager, responded immediately and within a day, car was taken for repair and Tony supplied us with replacement vehicle.
