Silvia designed and made my suit for my wedding earlier this year. She completely got the brief when I said I wanted to go bold, and she persevered with a very difficult to work with fabric because I loved the pattern on it so much! She was so fantastic right from the first time we met, giving me plenty of ideas and talking me through the process. I contacted Silvia about the possibility of her making me an outfit for Rocky Horror, she was very enthusiastic about the possibility and we met to discuss it. Silvia is a great person to work with to get exactly what you want in an outfit. We had a further meeting at mock up stage and then a final fitting where little tweeks were made. I am SOOOO pleased with the outfit and have had so many compliments from other Rocky Horror fans about it

Silvia worked with me to make my wedding dress. I wanted something non-traditional (ended up with a floor-length sequin gown with sleeves) and from the first meeting, she completely got it. I came armed with a couple of pictures of parts of dresses I liked and we had a great chat. Silvia drew up some great designs and was really patient and encouraging until I got what I wanted. Silvia was absolutely phenomenal. I had a really old grandmother’s lace dress that I wanted to wear for my wedding. The material was really delicate and fragile yet Silvia managed to alter it so it fit me perfectly. She is incredibly creative and a real expert. Not only that but she was really easy to get in touch with, and absolutely lovely in person. Thanks again Sylvia!

I've been doing sewing lessons with Silvia for a while now, and it's been great so far. I'm learning a lot, and I definitely feel like I'm making progress each week. Silvia is a fantastic teacher, and clearly has years of experience. I've been improving my fairly basic home sewing skills with her, but I think sewers of all abilities could get a lot out of taking classes with her. It's also been good to try using a professional sewing machine and overlocker, and I'm now feeling more confident about sewing and pattern cutt... read more
