Silvia is amazing at what she does! From the very first booking, she made me feel completely comfortable, and we instantly got on like a house on fire — probably one of the reasons I chose her. I went in with a basic idea for my dress, a blend of Western and Chinese wedding styles, which wasn’t an easy task, but Silvia brought my vision to life beautifully. Silvia designed and made my suit for my wedding earlier this year. She completely got the brief when I said I wanted to go bold, and she persevered with a very difficult to work with fabric because I loved the pattern on it so much! She was so fantastic right from the first time we met, giving me plenty of ideas and talking me through the process. Me and my wife had the best time with Silvia. We really felt like we learnt how to sew while also making something fun!
I contacted Silvia about the possibility of her making me an outfit for Rocky Horror, she was very enthusiastic about the possibility and we met to discuss it. Silvia is a great person to work with to get exactly what you want in an outfit. We had a further meeting at mock up stage and then a final fitting where little tweeks were made. I am SOOOO pleased with the outfit and have had so many compliments from other Rocky Horror fans about it
Silvia worked with me to make my wedding dress. I wanted something non-traditional (ended up with a floor-length sequin gown with sleeves) and from the first meeting, she completely got it. I came armed with a couple of pictures of parts of dresses I liked and we had a great chat. Silvia drew up some great designs and was really patient and encouraging until I got what I wanted.
