Carefriends are O.K. but need help. They put your loved one on the toilet and then leave to help someone else leaving your family member alone. Not safe. Your loved one can even lose 15 to 20 pounds in one month before they contact the visiting doctor. When their busy feeding residents at mealtime one resident would get up and was seen peeing in another residents sink right at the door. Or peeing at the door where you come in. Management should come out of their office and help keep an eye out while the carefriends are busy ... read more
During the pandemic I needed one paper signed by one of the residents. None of the employees were willing to hand the paper to the resident to sign & bring it back. Nor were they willing to have him come to the lobby. So I suited/masked up & did it myself. The staff walk these halls everyday, see the residents everyday, & are properly suited up/protected. They thought it best to put me at risk instead of allowing someone already exposed to do it. Not very helpful or caring by my definition.
This facility does not care about your loved ones. My mother was being overmedicated and abandoned. She was so sick at this facility because they continued to give her meds that she did not need keeping her in a vicious cycle of illness and hospitalizations. They did not help her learn how to manage herself to become independent again nor did they encourage and elevate her spirits but instead overmedicated her thus keeping her ill.
