Our mom Barbara just finished three months at Muskoka Shores on the 1st floor, north wing in the physiotherapy program due to a bad ankle break back in the Spring. While the facility might lack in modern features it more than makes up for with the kind hearted staff, the fun constantly changing theme decorations for special events; one definitely cannot judge a book by it's cover. This place is disgusting, my young children clean better than these people! You should be CLEANING EACH ROOM EVERYDAY!! PLUS BATH THE RESIDENTS!!! Disgusting place! You people are there to care for our elders!!! This place must DO SO MUCH BETTER FOR OUR ELDERS THAT WE LOVE!! Your job is to care for our elders that need it!!!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Muskoka Shores. The staff went above and beyond to care for my mother with kindness, patience, and respect. Their dedication gave my family such peace of mind, knowing she was in the best hands possible. A special shoutout to Kim, the nurse, whose warmth and compassion made all the difference. My sister, Janie Jones resided there from 2018 until her passing on Aug. 21, 2024. The PSW's & nursing staff were great. One consistent caregiver, Tanya PSW was particularly good to Janie while on 2North. She took great care on shower days making sure to wash & condition Janie's hair. Tanya was moved to another floor & Janie missed her terribly. Holly (presently on maternity leave), Cindy & Glenda also come to mind for their caregiving skills.
