My local theatre works with many actors of any abilities, and we have had a mixed experience with MTI. The variety of shows to choose from is incredible, and the customer service on my end has been good. The website is easy to navigate, and while I've never licensed a show, it seems very easy to do so. However, some of the scripts we rented had pages falling out, and they had different revisal dates (some revised 2018, some 2019) which created some inconsistencies during rehearsal. I have never had problems with them in the past but we are doing The Christmas Schooner this year and we didn’t receive rehearsal tracks or performance tracks and we were never given a PDF for our script so I can’t print it for the kids in our show who don’t have phones for the website and when we called they were very rude they made my director cry
As a theater educator and non-profit artistic director for 17 years, MTI is the easiest publishing company to work with. Their online platform is user friendly, their customer service is unmatched in the industry, and the quality of content is excellent. I gladly choose MTI shows over other publishing companies when I can simply due to their streamlined and predictable process.
Honestly the easiest of all the licensing companies to work with. Digital materials and very responsive reps. We sometimes only choose to do mti shows because their prices are also the most reasonable!
MTI is truly a joy to work with! Every interaction I’ve had with them, from the Licensing Reps to the Executives, has been a delight. Love working with MTI!
