I have all three of my kids in Music House classes. They love their instructors, learning about music, and applying that knowledge to the instruments they are learning. I love watching each of them grow through their music journey. I can also speak to my personal experience as I took piano, voice, and classical guitar lessons here back when they opened the Overland Park location. Playing music is a hobby I have the privilege of enjoying every day. I highly recommend the Music House experience to anyone who wants to learn.
I love attending Music House! I have tried to learn music for a long time on my own and often doubted myself and quit. I had been worried that I would never be able or was too late to progress to a point that I felt was good enough, especially as an adult student. We are grateful to have Music House in our community! Our son has taken guitar and drum lessons at Music House. He has consistently had amazing instructors who have helped to develop his skills, while also cultivating a love of music. In addition to weekly lessons, he has had opportunities to participate in Jam with the Pros and summer camps. If you or your child are interested in music lessons I’d highly recommend Music House!
My teacher works with me on cord progressions and improv. He's an awesome musician and puts on lots of gigs around town. In fact, all the subs I've had lessons with were excellent. I look forward to my weekly lessons and always leave in a good mood! Many locally known jazz guys help out at Music House. The periodic jam sessions they have (free of charge) are terrific and unfortunately a secret. Because if more people knew how good these guys are, the house would be packed!
My son has been taking drum lessons from Joel for almost 5 years (he is 11, started in 1st grade). Music house provides great opportunities to grow and learn. They are really invested in each kid. The reason I’m writing a review after over 4 years is because after his lesson the other day my kid said “Joel is just always happy, he never gets upset when I mess up or have to do the same beat over and over again, he’s just always happy and nice”.
