I contacted this firm for help with probate and paid an initial £500 fee. After just one working day, I chose to go with a different solicitor due to a lack of customer service and responsiveness. Initially, I was told by email that the accounts team would process a refund—no mention of any charges. Later that same day, I received another email saying £300 would be deducted for “emails, phone calls and work done.” This was a complete shift in tone and poorly communicated.
