The absolute worst!! M and T Securities gives the best example yet of why you should never ever go to a bank for investment counseling. Unless you are a billionaire, they could care less about you. Stick to the smaller local investment companies for personalized service.
I have had TWO extremely bad experiences with M & T Securities. I lost money investing with them several years ago and when I recently attempted to close one account so I could move the money into a better account (NOT at M & T) it has taken over two months and still not taken care of.

M&T Securities charges $35.00 to keep an account open, pays very little (pennies) then charges $50.00 to close an account. They claim to be a bank for the people but the only people they are for is big companies. They do advertise this. Showing large companies while claiming to help the average person. Bad business.
