We really love the staff and volunteers at this camp so this review is hard to leave. But it’s not about the grounds or the staff or the effort of these wonderful people. But my daughter stayed one week and was bullied terribly. She was also extremely uncomfortable being bunked with girls that were talking about being lesbians, sex and other things. My daughters have been attending Mt. Gilead Camp for four years now. This is the highlight of their summers! They love archery, horsemanship, pottery, nature walks, s'mores and worship by the campfire, pool time, and having fun at the pond. They invite and bring a new friend to Mt. Gilead every summer! Mt. Gilead is, without a doubt, the best summer camp my daughter has ever attended. Her first experience last year made such an impression on her that she has quite firmly decided she wants to return every summer and even work there when she's old enough! God's love shines through the counselors, they became like big sisters to the girls. Every one I had any interaction with was honestly delightful. My daughter, her friends and cousins all attended last summer for the very first time. They had an absolute blast and now she wants to go for 2 weeks this year. She loved the food, the activities but especially the time away with great friends, new and old.

My girls have loved their time at Mt. Gilead. It is a fun place to get away from technology, and where they grow in their faith and learn how to relate better to one another. I am grateful for the training/mentorship CILT program where they train highschoolers to be counselors and leaders.
