Terrific staff…helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly
The worst staff is hired for any M&T banks. They discriminate against senior citizens and treat my father so poorly. Hes legally blind due to cataracts so if he calls the bank i have to be next to him and read stuff for him. The lady said no one can be reading stuff for him that i had to leave and his phone cant be on speaker phone. One of the staff members called out, and it felt like the remaining staff didn’t want to take care of me, as they seemed stressed and overwhelmed. It’s a strange way to handle customers. Also, why not just hire more people? After reading more Google reviews, it seems this is a recurring issue. The staff come across as rude. I’m sure that’s not the image M&T wants to project to its customers. They help me at the end but I waited a really long time.

If I could give you 0 stars I would. Worse service ever! Have been on the phone for over 5 hours waiting to speak to a representative in the fraud department since they blocked my card for trying to make a purchase of $350. I'm amazed at how rude and incompetent the staff is. Couldn't even transfer my call instead decided to just give me the number. I also tried transferring money person to person through the zelle app and was unable to since they blocked me from doing so. Unbelievable! One customer less you will have.
