Absolutely terrible bank… just do yourself a favor and pick a different bank. I was a victim of fraud and had to file a police report etc. My contact told me to go to the closest branch and bring them everything I had. They had absolutely zero sympathy or empathy nor did they help the situation. I was taken for $3550 for a fraudulent check…the most extensive scam the EHPD had seen. The branch manager was very unhelpful. Made business hard for no reason. Very disrespectful and unprofessional worst experience I’ve ever had with a bank.
Unprofessional!!!! So I went in trying to get a cashier check and this bank teller who is a heavy set woman of color with some grays in her hair did not greet me at all and just gave me a rude stare. I told her I wanted a cashier check to be made out to someone and try handing her my ID but she just rudely stared at me like I was a freaking leopard. This is the worst bank that I have ever done business with, hands down. I am forced to call the attorney general in the morning because they refuse to transfer my money out of there after they tried to scam me. Beware of M&T. Too bad, Peoples Bank was so good, and now this..
The East Hartford branch on Main Street is the best branch I've been too. They great you right away and the staff is always very positive. I used to go to the Stop n Shop branch in Manchester before it closed cuz Kelsey was such a great teller. Since them closing I've moved to East Hartford, so this branch is also closest to me. Anyways, I just wanted to say how great everyone is at that particular Branch.
