Worst location ever. LaFayette M&T is not friendly to new accounts. If you open a new account, be aware that every transaction you try to make, even local, will be marked as fraud and there is nothing you can do about it "it's just the algorithm". I am trying to access my past statements and can't access them at all unless I step into a branch because they closed my account due to inactivity. This bank is not helpful at all. I caution you, go anywhere else!
Under staffed. Could not open an account and took 10 min to cash a check a check. Needless to say I remember why I switched banks many years ago
Well, today's a sad day. I have finally come to the conclusion that M&T Bank is not for small business or for a personal account. Today I opened my business savings account statement to find a $5 charge. I thought that was odd. This is an account that I put aside to pay my quarterly taxes. I've talked with M&T about this account before. I found out that I'm supposed to keep a balance of $300 or more or otherwise they will penalize me $5.
