After banking with M&T for over 20 years (starting with the bank they took over) I did something I rarely do - went into a branch. There were 5 people working (mostly staring at computer screens) and ONLY 1 TELLER. He was trying to train a new employee and run between the drive up window and the the walk-up counter. Of course he was stretched thin so I waited in line. Finally made it to the counter (with people waiting behind me). I needed for them to draft a check for me to a contractor. Customer Service was good however, when I went to go chose a card, under cultural cards, they had a buddha, muslim, lgbtq, trans, and Palestine flag, but did not have anything with a cross or Israel on it, I decided to go elsewhere to open an account, hopefully they include Christians in the future.
4 people sitting in offices, 1 teller working counter and drive through, clients waiting. Time to get people off their asses and helping your customers. Come on manager, do your job. Lousy customer service.
Worst customer service ever. Never enough tellers on hand.
