M&T is supposed to have online banking service.. it does not work.. the first ATM in Bristol I went to did not work.. I guess it is just not working with this bank and this is a quite frequent thing.
Great bank with a small hometown feel.
EDIT TO REVIEW: two months later, and I'm seeing that the account was actually NOT closed as promised. As such, I've incurred a service charge. Very disappointed that staff is either not given the time or proper training to perform simple tasks like closing an account. Updating my rating from 4 stars to 2 stars. I know M&T has a bad reputation as of late - perhaps rightfully so. But when I went in to close one of my accounts and cash a check, Nanette was very helpful and courteous. DO NOT USE THIS BANK. I repeat, DO NOT USE THIS BANK. CHEATER BANK. My 60 year old mother had more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000) stolen from her account. Being 60, a simple debit card is used for her primary spending account. She knows what she spends and since it is a personal account and not shared, she doesn’t feel the need to check her balance like a hawk because, like most people her age, she knows what she spends.
