If you do not have an account here and want to cash a M&T Bank check you received not only will they charge a ridiculous fee; but the will treat you as if you’re trying to cash a fake check. They need to verify that a BANK CHECK drawn from THEIR BANK is legitimate. Not only do they go out of there way to over complicate the issue, they can’t even do this correctly. If I could give negative stars I would. I needed cash out of my account because I'm a African American I was told I was not allowed to get my money out of my account. Needed the money for business emergency. Because I'm a person of color I was rudely put out the bank told to leave and wait a hour.....
