M&T Bank is the most unprofessional and amateur bank I have encountered in 30 years. The employees fail to communicate effectively with one another, their managers, or their customers. There is no care or effort to maintain proper communication with clients. You can wait for months with no results. It's a case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. Your user interface is absolute garbage. Why even run a website if it’s never going to work properly.
I have had acounts/loans with various banks and credit unions over the past 30 years. M&T is the most difficult financial institution that I have ever worked with as a customer. Everything from setting up online account and payments to reaching customer service for support. The most frustrating is they even make it very difficult to pay them which is ridiculous. I got involved with M&T to help out a friend but will be moving this loan to another bank asap.
This review is for the branch and particularly for Merry, “like Christmas” as she told me when I asked. I came in to cash a check and she was so gracious and personable - professional but truly warm. I forgot something important at my visit and she went the extra mile to call me and let me know. I will be banking with M&T because, in the spirit of Christmas, and even though it’s July, Merry is a gift.
The worst bank I have ever dealt with for business. Do not use this bank for any business dealings because you will be on the phone with them each week for one problem or another.
