great irish pub exellent service – My friends and I wanted to have a few drinks and maybe some finger food , so we went to Mr Dennehy's pub in the village last Saturday night . Our server Sara was very friendly, professional, and a lot of fun. She talked us into getting entrees. We were pleasantly surprised the food was great the drinks were on the weak side. Try the burger with an English mafin instead of the bun and the chipotle wings awesome. Overall it was a great evening we will definitely be back.

food is not ok – Ok, so I didn't love this place. The restaurant was beautiful and the service superb but didn't love the food. Everything we ordered was swimming in butter. We dined here with friends from out of town who had never been to NY before. Rarely am I this disappointed by any NY restaurant so I felt comfortable trying a new place with them. Our dinner was very expensive and we all agreed that everything had entirely too much butter. Mad props for the ambiance and service however, I would not go back here. Sorry Mr. Dennehy s, you're just not one of my favorites.
Business Response:

Thanks for the frank review. We work hard to make sure you have a great experience however I'm puzzled by two points you made. Our prices are not considered expensive with most of our entrees selling for under $15 and our most expensive at $24. As for the butter issue we do serve a Salmon dish in a "beurre blanc sauce," which translated from French is white butter. It's highly unlikely all of you ordered the same entree and possible we were heavy handed with butter in our mashed potatoes, either way I'd like you to give us another try, with my compliments. Please e-mail me and I'll set it up.

Great Service and Delicious Food – One of my favorite places to dine. Nice location, wonderfully warm atmosphere, great service, and delicious food. The prices may be a bit on the high side, but it's well worth it. Try the crispy tuna wasabi to start. From what I understand, the Caesar salad is the best around and the grilled shrimp is to die for. You can't go wrong with the sesame crusted tuna which is quite tasty as well.

Everton Fans connect – I like to go to this bar on weekend mornings to watch the Everton F.C. Premier league games. They have about 5 large thin-screen tv's along 2 walls, which makes watching different games simultaneously quite possible. The bartender and waitresses are always on top of getting peoples drinks and food, always checking to see if we want another when our glasses are empty. The food is delicious. I have had a hard time finding Fish 'n Chips that comes close to the crunchy batter found in the local chippy in England. Mr. Dennehy's comes very close and rounds out a lovely meal with crunchy, thin, seasoned fries. The atmosphere is lovely, the decor gorgeous wood, kept highly polished. rounding out a good deal: the prices are really reasonable for a New York City brunch .

Great Food for a Pub Great Irish pub that you've probably seen in the guiness commercial. Any way the food is so much better than pub food. Although they make a great burger, the entrees are spectacular. All of the seafood dishes are amazing!

Owner extremely disrespectful – My friend lives upstairs from the bar, and frequents it all the time. So last night, looking for a low key neighborhood evening, a group of us girls got a table and were enjoying ourselves having a few drinks. About 2 hours later I walk to the restroom, only to be intercepted by a man telling me I can't use it. He went on to say that only customers can use the restrooms. I explained that I was a customer and have been sitting at a table for quite a while (pointing at the table where my friends are sitting). I had to actually walk him to the table to show him my purse to prove that I was a customer. After asking a waitress who the disrespectful man was, she informed me he was the owner. We gathered our things and walked out, in utter disbelief, that the owner was able to treat his patrons so rudely without a blink of the eye. Unbelievable.
Business Response:

Please accept my apologies. I never said you could not use the restroom outright, just the lower level room as it was set for a private function. I appreciate the inconvenience of a line however our facilities are designed for individual use and actually help to speed matters up. To show that I meant no disrespect I would like to invite you and your guests back for an evening of dinner and drinks at a time of your choosing. Feel free to contact me or the manager to set it up.

pleasantly suprised... nice place for a large group to eat and drink well! – I had to throw a last minute party for my business group (23 of us) after our reservation got 'misplaced' at an upscale establishment in the neighborhood. I found it on referral but didn't have many options on short notice. I was afraid it would be just another neighborhood pub... but these guys run a different kind of show. The food was great and there were dishes for everyone... from the foodies in the group to the pub hounds who were just super down to have such a great burger. Quality was above and beyond what you would expect going out to a pub. The private room was a nice space with its own bar that could comfortably hold 2-3x more I would guess. Highly recommended for group outings or even to watch a game and just eat well.

NOT Pub Food – I wandered into, what I thought was another Irish Pub, read the menu and thought that no one could live up to this. It must be another cook who watches the cooking channel and fakes it. The presentation of our food took our breath away YET, still not believing that it would have any flavor. The taste was more incredible then the look. This Pub is worth the ride. Please don't let yourself lose this opportunity. I hope to see you there because I will be back as often as life allows. Enjoy!!!!!!!

been there twice, love it. – This first time I was at this little place, was a few months back, at a birthday party. We had the event in the bar downstairs, it was amazing, the food, oh my god the food, it was wonderful, I almost forgot it was bar food, it was so good. We had a great night, it got a little crazy actually but the bartenders we great, Rob and another guy, that was running in and out, Frank i think. Awsome night! I was in again two weeks ago for a quite drink, and Rob was there again and he remembered my drink (malibu+crannberry) but forgot my name completely, it was just so funny, great guy. This bar is the best, everybody should check it out. Im away until the end september but I shall return as a "regular".
