I've sold equipment to MPB in the past an was generally pleased with their service. But my recent experience trading equipment was not acceptable. I traded for a Canon RF 70-200 f 2.8 lens. When the lens arrived, it was loose in the box and the front and rear lens caps were also loose in the box. (Photos attached.) I'm surprised at how poorly they packaged a lens that they were selling for $2400. No luck with this place, I ordered a camera a while back and they sent one that didn't live up to the description, I'm not even sure it was the same one listed as it was missing parts that were pictured in the original listing. So now I decided to try them again, placed an order for 2 lenses and a camera. According to them everything pictured is the actual item, so I can safely assume it's in stock in their warehouse... I sent them perfect lenses and now they are saying the most expensive lense in the box was damaged. It was in its original case and box wrapped around another box. Anyone have problems with switching gear??

MPB is a hit or miss from my experience. Selling, buying and trading are easy. Purchases from MPB has been a positive one, but their condition ratings require better care and judgement. Quoted offers for your gear are a bit low compared to what they sell for on their own website. Trade or sell if you just want to upgrade or get rid of your gear without any hassle. Unfortunately, my previous trading experience was not good. Condition was listed as "like new" and camera was in less condition than stated. Photos of the camera ... read more

My purchase experience has been positive so far. Selling not so much, hence only 3 stars. I was given a price quote and sent a camera in to them. They dinged the camera and claimed it was sent that way (it wasn't, I have photos) and offered me less $ for it. I declined the offer. When they sent it back it was minus the batteries. They claimed that they don't accept 3rd party batteries if not listed (there was no place to do so) - ok fine, but don't just keep them - send them back.
